Finally found my Utopia, and this is where I'm staying (Part 5)

She kept staring at me for a few minutes with that amazing smile on her face, and all out of the sudden, the waterfall started pouring faster, louder, like it was angry! Then she screamed: "NO! I don't want to go! Let me stay!", the water wrapped around her like a rope and started pulling her down inside the lake.

I froze for a second not believing what I was seeing, then I said to myself: "Why are you standing there! Help her!", I jumped into the lake, swam towards her, she was starting to fade out of view into the lake, her hand only what left above the surface. I caught her hand and started pulling her back up, but the force pulling her down was far greater than mine, as hard as I tried, I couldn't manage to get her back to the surface, the both of us started going down instead, she stopped fighting, put her other hand on mine, and she started letting go of me, looking at me with a look that is telling me: "Let me go", I nodded with my head rejecting her request, grasped to her hand harder than before, pulled her towards me, and started swimming to the surface with a fast base, until the rope wrapping her broke lose, and I managed to get her to the surface, and back to the shore of the lake.

Once we got to the shore, I dragged both myself and her to get the two of us as far as we could from the lake, I tried to get further, but I wore out, and we both fell out of consciousness few steps away from the shore. I came back to after a few, but she was still out, I carried her and laid her down away from the lake, then I went into the forest, collected some wood branches, went back, and made some fire to dry her up and make her worm. I sat beside her, looking at her, waiting for her to wake up, I kept looking at her for so long, not getting tired, not even getting drowsy, it was like looking at her was giving a strange strength.

She woke up, looked at me, and smiled, I smiled back and said: "Welcome back sleepy head", she said: "Where am I?", I replied: "Beside the lake", she jumped and shouted: "What? How did you? That's impossible!", I said: "What are you talking about? What did happen anyway? What was that pulling you down?", "I honestly don't know, whenever there's a sign of danger near me while I'm swimming in this lake, the waterfall pulls me down and I wake up in my bed. My protector, you can call it that I guess" she replied. She stayed silent for a few seconds, looked at me and said: "Why did you pull me out?", I said: " You were drowning! What was I supposed to do? Let you drown?", she laughed, and said: "I'm hungry", I laughed and said: "Me too, I'll be right back", "Where are you going?" she asked, "Getting us something to eat". She smiled and said: "OK, just don't take too long."

I went on my hunting trip, holding a piece of wood in my hand, and I saw a rabbit jumping around, I waited for it to stop and I threw the wooden piece on it, and bam! Right on the target. I picked it up and went back to her, she was sitting beside the fire warming her hand, once she saw me she smiled and said: "Hey! Food! What did you bring us?", I said: "A rabbit!", "I never ate a rabbit before, I don't know what it tastes like!", I sat beside her and started cleaning it, smiled and said:"Would you believe me if I told you never have I? Well, every time have a first time", she laughed and said: "Yeah, well I guess you're right".

I finished cleaning it, stuck it to a branch, and started grilling it on the fire. We kept talking for a while about ourselves, our past, our thoughts, we shared a lot, until the rabbit was ready and we started eating. It tasted like chicken mixed with meat, so strange, yet so delicious, we both loved it and ate it all.
